assist you with the procedures on how to use Online Access, we have compiled
the most frequently asked questions.
We hope this information is helpful.
General Information
You
will be able to request your inspections, look up your inspection results, find
the status of your plans, and other information concerning the Building
Department. This system has been designed to perform all
these functions without having to speak to a customer service representative.
For your convenience, the system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week.
Who can use the web?
Anyone who has access to a PC
with internet connection.
Why
use the web?
Get the building
information directly from our records at your finger tips.
How
the web works?
If you want to request an inspection, have
your permit number, User Id, and password.

Log On procedures for this information.)
How
secure is our website?
Your online
security is important to us. That is why we are committed to securing your
personal information.

When you pay fees using your
credit card your information is sent over the Internet from your computer
to ours using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
-
SSL secures your personal
information using 128-bit encryption ensuring that no one else can
read it.

When entering our secured web pages you will be
prompted for a security certification. Please press the yes button if you
want to proceed.

There are two ways of knowing you are on a secure
website:

Look for the small padlock icon usually located in the
lower right corner of your Web browser window. A closed, or locked, padlock
indicates a secure connection.

Look for the letters "https://" at the beginning of
the Web site address or URL in your Web browser. The "s" means secure.

Log On
To Log On you need a User Id and Password
. After entering these click the "Logon " button to
proceed.
What
is my User Id?
If you are a
contractor, your User Id is your contractor's license number. If you are a
homeowner, your User Id is the homeowner's social security number.
What
is my password?
Your default
password is the business/home address zipcode.

User Password
Change
The selection will enable you to check the status of
your plan. In order to use this flow you will need a valid plan number.
What
is my User Id?
If you are a contractor,
your User Id is your contractor's license number. If you are a homeowner, your
User Id is the homeowner's social security number.
What
is my password?
Your default password is
the business/home address zipcode.
What
is my permit pin?
Your
Permit Pin Number is a four-digit pin found on the top left hand side of your
Permit Inspection Records Card.

Plan Status Review
How
do I get information about the status of my plans review
?
By
selecting the Plans Status Review option you will be able to access the status
of the plan. A valid plan number is required.
What
information does it provide?
-
The top portion of the screen will
have general information, such as plan number, address, folio, plan status,
date submitted, date completed, job code, and job description.
-
The bottom part of the screen will
provide the tracking (reviewing) divisions, result, reviewer name and remarks.

Permit
Inspections History
How
do I get Permit Inspection History information?
By
selecting the Permit Inspection History option you will be able to access the
permit inspection history. A valid permit number is required.
What
information does it provide?
-
The top portion of the screen will have
general information such as, master permit number, subsidiary permits, plan
number, folio number, NET office, and address.

The bottom portion of the screen will
provide the divisions, inspection types, inspection dates, approval status,
inspector name and comments.

Inspection
Scheduling
How do I schedule an inspection, cancel an inspection, or pay a re-inspection
fee?
By
selecting the Inspection Scheduling option. A valid permit number is
required.
-
Enter the nine (9) digits permit number.
-
Click on submit button.
-
For more specific information, please
click on the drop down to select division type and then click on the submit
button.
-
The top portion of the screen will have
general information such as, master permit number, subsidiary permits, plan
number, folio number, NET office, and address.
-
The bottom portion of the screen will
provide the pending inspections by division, inspection type, if required
(Y=Yes, N=No, T=Tracking (depending on division), the scheduled date, the
inspected date, the approval status, the re-inspection fee due, if any, and the
action field.

The action column will list the action
that can be taken for a particular inspection.

To view the inspector's route on the scheduled date of
an inspection select view route.
-
Click on the appropriate selection and a
screen will appear requesting the user ID (contractor number) associated with
the permit and the password.
-
If you owe re-inspection fee(s) that
will prevent you from taking any action on the permit until the
are fee(s) paid.

Once a selection is made a log in
screen will appear.
-
Enter your user ID (contractor number
or social security number for homeowner) plus the password.

Permits by Folio or Address
How do I search for Permits on a property?
If you have
the folio number or address of the property, select the
'Permits by Address or Folio option.
-
Enter the 12-digit folio number or
click the on the address option button
and enter the address.
-
Click on submit button.
-
A list of the permits will be returned order by the
status of the permit.
-
You can filter the permit list by selecting a status
and the update button.
-
You can also go to inspection scheduling by selecting
an active permit number or permit history by selecting a
permit number that is not active.
